Well this was supposed to happen in the near future making website mobile or smartphone friendly , people were making website friendly for such devices but now if they don’t make it the way Google wants website to be then they are absolutely going to lose way too much visitors.
The Google is now adding an algorithm in its algorithm list which will hit the website whose website are not friendly to smartphones or mobile phones.
Google’s Yoshikiyo Kato and Pierre Far said in a blog post
“To improve the search experience for smartphone users and address their pain points, we plan to roll out several ranking changes in the near future that address sites that are mis configured for smartphone users.”
Speaking of truth smartphone is changing how we used to use hand devices, smartphone has become a big market, and millions of people use smartphones every day, most of them use it for INTERNET obviously. Keeping this in mind users should be provided with websites that makes their experience of using website easy and smooth.
Mostly smartphones are of touch, so website should be touch compatible, like it has an interactive look and medium or big buttons, which users can actually click with their thumb.
Worst problems that smartphone users face
The worst and most annoying problem that smartphone user face is slow loading page, mostly users have slow internet which is offered by their third class service providers, if users are unable to load the page in amount of time they can wait, they simply just go back to search engine and look for other blog or website that they hope can load fast.
Redirecting a user to another page every time he loads a new page is annoying, most websites redirects users of desktop and smartphones to different links, such as the links below in the image are considered faulty.
Solution to this problem is to design the website that can recognize the smartphone user and convert the page for them in the best form for smartphone users.
Secondly if you are using wordpress and your website is not designed for smartphone you should use the right kind of plugin that does not redirect the users, uses same link and its design is smartphone friendly. This is the kind of technology we should move onto.
Also according to Google showing the desktop content to smartphone users is better than redirecting them to an irrelevant page.
